We decided for FHE we would make caramel apples-we had great caramel but the candy wouldn't stick. Is there a trick to making caramel apples like you see at the stores?
Who needs a trick? A glob of caramel with candy in it - doesn't get better than that. The only way to improve on that would be to just leave the apple out of it! :)
I believe that you need to hold the apples rotating them upside down, and right side up until the caramel cools a little and holds its shape. Then, you roll them in the candy. They look scrumptious though!!

We've never been able to make them look "pretty". I've read that if the apples are really cold it supposedly helps.
Pretty or not . . . YUM!
Those sure look good. Enough said...
Are you and Lindsey going to hold a pickleball tournament?
